Are there any usage precautions I should know about?
Make sure you use the specified genuine lubricating oil for the spindle. When moving the Anderon meter, lift it straight up, move to another location horizontally, then lower the unit straight down, without sliding from side to side. Sliding the Anderon meter sideways without lifting may damage the vibration isolation device.
Does the Anderon meter need to be used in an anechoic room?
Although the Anderon meter can be affected somewhat by ambient noise and vibrations, an anechoic room at the actual bearing inspection site is not required.
